New employees should use OneDrive for individual file storage and technicians deploying their devices will go over access to OneDrive with new employees. Timeline No new U: Drive creation: Friday, October 29 In advance of migration, users impacted will receive communications with dates and resources specific to the migration. We will work with departmental leaders to determine the best time for departments to migrate. Users will store files in OneDrive for Business moving forward. The Office of the Chief Information Officer is retiring individual U: drives and using a tool to migrate user data to OneDrive for Business. Our next step in this important journey to streamline our cloud storage solutions will include the retirement of the individual U: drive for Managed IT Services partners. Most data is authorized for storage within OneDrive, but certain categories of restricted data are not.Use of OneDrive on restricted systems will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.Files and folders can be shared from within OneDrive with people both inside and outside OSU. Seamless integration with Office365 including live collaboration and automatic file versioning of all Office documents stored on OneDrive.
