U: drives will not be created for new employees onboarding beginning Friday, October 29. New employees should use OneDrive for individual file storage and technicians deploying their devices will go over access to OneDrive with new employees. Timeline No new U: Drive creation: Friday, October 29 In advance of migration, users impacted will receive communications with dates and resources specific to the migration. We will work with departmental leaders to determine the best time for departments to migrate. Users will store files in OneDrive for Business moving forward. The Office of the Chief Information Officer is retiring individual U: drives and using a tool to migrate user data to OneDrive for Business. Our next step in this important journey to streamline our cloud storage solutions will include the retirement of the individual U: drive for Managed IT Services partners.
